Eyebrow Threading

Eyebrow threading is an ancient depilation technique which originated in India. This method provides the best shape to the eyebrows and is used to give clean lines to your brows. The method involves twisting pure cotton threads for plucking the hair. The hair is removed in a clean line and is a much quicker and easier way of hair removal. Read more on eye threading instructions.

Eyebrow Threading vs Waxing

Contact with Skin: Since eyebrow threading has little to no contact with the skin, it does not irritate the skin for more than a few minutes. In contrast to that, waxing pulls the skin when the hair is removed. This can easily make the sensitive skin go pink and red with skin irritation. Read more on side effects of waxing.

Pain: While both these methods are quite painful, the waxing method is easily the most painful one, as most of the waxes used are warm and can end up burning or scorching the skin at times. Another reason is that the molten wax around your eyes can be a cause for concern.

Sensitive Skin: The chemicals present in the wax might irritate the sensitive, thin skin around the eyes. The resins and the artificial ingredients in the wax can trigger off an allergic reaction and rashes as well. In addition to this the top layers of the skin that are traumatized by waxing can develop redness and pigmentation. On the long run eyebrow waxing can result in skin loosening and the appearance of ugly wrinkles between eyebrows. People suffering from skin diseases like Rosacea may find the eyebrow threading method a boon.

Eyebrow Shaping: Threading gives you the perfect and the most accurate eyebrow shape with cleaner, straighter lines. It is also a quicker method of hair removal as compared to eyebrow waxing and ensures that the hair is removed from the follicle. Moreover, once the hair grows back you do not have to deal with the thick dark hair that is usually observed a few days after an eyebrow waxing session. Read more on eyebrow shaping tips.

In addition to these comparisons between eyebrow threading vs waxing, it is also observed that threading eyebrows has long lasting results than any other hair removal techniques. Whatever method you choose, it is best to get it done by an experienced professional as wrong usage of any of the above methods can lead to uneven brows, hair breakage, ingrown hair and a whole lot unnecessary pain.

Chemical Peels

  • Did you know that the majority of women suffer from deep wrinkles, acne scarring, or a rough texture to the skin tone that is difficult to treat with over-the-counter products?

     Learn About Chemical Peels:

    • Our trained medical aestheticians use dermalogically approved Glymed products within this chemical peel treatment that are appropriate to each skin type.
    • A chemical peel is a facial treatment that uses natural enzymes to gently and thoroughly slough away dead and damaged skin on the surface of the complexion. This is an advanced treatment that should only be administered by trained professionals in the form of our expert medical aestheticians.
    • A chemical peel is a beneficial facial treatment for all skin types because it works to remove debris in the complexion to minimize the size of the pores. This will cause the surface and texture of your skin to feel smooth and radiant after a series of these professional treatments! Our chemical peels also work to thin the outer layer of the skin, called the stratum corneum, by reducing and removing dead skin cells on the surface of the complexion.
    • This simple process will work to effectively exfoliate the surface of the skin to regenerate new cell growth. When this process occurs, your skin will feel immediately silky and radiant as a new layer pushes forth! The degree of exfoliation used can be adjusted to each skin type and concern, and it directly depends upon how long the chemical peel is left on the skin.

     How It Works:

    • There are also higher concentrations of the chemical peel acids that can be used to provide more aggressive benefits in reducing deep wrinkles and acne scarring in the exterior of the skin. In short, this is a top-of-the-line advanced treatment that will work to smooth out rough textures in the skin, reduce sun damage, and minimize fine lines in a way that no other over-the-counter anti aging product can!
    • Our chemical peel procedure begins with your face and neck being thoroughly cleansed and then deeply exfoliated with the use of our professional chemical peel.
    • Each peel is customized according to your skin type and condition by the trained aesthetician. After that, you will receive a soothing lymphatic drainage massage or a regular facial massage that will work to stimulate the surface of the skin, increase circulation in the complexion, and boost collagen production.
    • In the next step, a mask is applied for 10 minutes, including a pampering hand massage. Hot towels are used throughout the treatment to indulge and comfort you during your chemical peel. To complete the treatment, a moisturizer appropriate to your skin type will be applied to your face and neck to bring your complexion into balance and keep it protected throughout the day.
